Download the raw data to follow along
See a live example of the dashboard
Above is the example data that anyone can use. For those who have their own channel, see below for brief instructions on accessing your own channel data, and see the video for further instructions.
After downloading the raw data above, return to YouTube or see the video below to build the dashboard. Enjoy!

How to get your own data from your YouTube channel
(Ignore this if you are using the example data above). For those who do have their own channel, in YouTube studio, click "Analytics", then click "See more", (this will take you to the "Views by content" report by default).
Then choose the desired timeframe on the left, and click "Export current view" on the right of the screen. YouTube will give you the option to export a CSV / folder, or export the data into Google Sheets.
The folder will come as a zipped folder, you can extract / unzip it by right clicking on it and then clicking "Extract all."
There will be 3 files inside the folder. The one that we will use for the creation of this dashboard is the "Table Data" file, which shows the data related to each video on the channel.
Click here if you want to see a lesson on how to Import CSV data, but the dashboard lesson will go over this.
Overview
In this lesson I am going to show you how to build a dashboard in Google Sheets by using data from YouTube analytics. More specifically, we will be using data from the "Views by Content" report, which shows each video on a channel and the stats related to it.
Watch the video below to see how to build the dashboard step by step.
First I will show you how to download the example data, and then how to access your own YouTube data if you have your own channel.
The video above will take you through everything from importing the data, all the way through the completion of the polished dashboard.
Overall we will build different sorted views that show the best performing videos, by views, subscribers, and subscribe rate (subs per 1k views). We will calculate the subs per 1k value ourselves.
Then we will create a dashboard views with 3 different column charts showing the top 5 videos from the areas mentioned above, and 3 scorecard charts showing grand totals.
