Formula List: Easily find the function that you need
The cheat sheet has lots of formulas on it, and each of the formulas performs a very common and useful task in Google Sheets.
These are not simply randomly chosen formulas, and they are not all just basic ones that everyone knows about either… the sheet contains a wide range of formulas, from simple to advanced.
You will find formulas, formula variations, and nested formulas that can solve almost any type of problem/ spreadsheet task.
Each formula is ready to copy and paste into your own Google spreadsheet, and so all you will need to do is adjust the cell references to suit your needs.
As you can see in the example image below, every formula has a description beside it, so you will be able to easily understand what each of them does.
Shortcuts: Make your work faster and easier
Your cheat sheet also has a section that shows you the keyboard shortcuts for Google Sheets, which will make working with spreadsheets much easier and will allow you to create much faster!
From the "Fill down" shortcut which quickly copies formulas, to the shortcuts that allow easy selection of multiple cells/rows/columns… you will find all of the shortcuts that make things faster when working with spreadsheets.
Operators: Quickly reference all of the symbols
There are several different "operators" to remember when creating custom formulas, such as mathematical operators (Multiply, Divide, Square, etc.), and other comparison operators used in formula expressions (Not equal, Greater than or equal to, etc.)… and your cheat sheet will give you a list of these operators so you always know exactly which symbol to type for what you are trying to do/express in your formulas!
Copy and paste directly into your sheet
Simply open the cheat sheet in your Chrome browser, and you can then copy the formula that you need and paste it into your sheet.
This will save you the time of having to manually type out your formulas.
You can store the PDF on your computer… then right-click on the file, then click "Open With", and then click "Google Chrome". Opening the file in Chrome like this will make copying and pasting the easiest.
Or you can store the file in your Google Drive, and the cheat sheet will open in the Google Drive PDF viewer. To copy the formulas while viewing the PDF in Google Drive, you will need to click your mouse exactly at the left edge of the formula, hold your click, and then drag your cursor right, to the end of the formula. The formula will not display as being highlighted / selected until your cursor reaches the end of the formula (This is why viewing in Chrome is easier).
After copying and pasting the formula into a cell in your sheet, all you will need to do is adjust the cell/range references to apply it to your specific set of data. The descriptions in the formulas will help you to understand what each reference represents.
